WEDDING INQUIRIES

Incarnate Mysteries Catholic Photography has been granted proper canonical permission (see CIC, canon 216) to operate as a recognized Catholic company. As per the terms of this permission in a decree issued by Bishop John O. Barres, we are bound to uphold the teachings and disciplines of the Catholic Church in all operations and services. In this spirit of following the laws of the Catholic Church, please note the following:

1. Liturgical Form: We only photograph Nuptial Masses or Liturgy of the Word ceremonies taking place in parish churches or a suitable space designated/approved by the diocesan bishop.

2. Marital Consent: Exchanges of vows or other forms of giving marital consent occurring outside no. 1 (including at a reception venue, even if after the ceremony held at the church) cannot be photographed.

3. Catholic Spirit: Any practices or celebrations contrary to Catholic doctrine, morals, or discipline cannot be photographed, even at the reception.

Incarnate Mysteries Catholic Photography does not specialize in wedding photography. We ordinarily do not do weddings. However, if you are seeking a photographer who has the Catholic understanding of sacramental marriage, knows the Liturgy, and will act reverently in church, we are happy to discuss possible options. We can offer simple packages. If you need an extensive or comprehensive service, we recommend looking elsewhere.
